The Unwalled
Garden

Project overview

The Unwalled Garden required an identity that reflected the studio's evolving position within the wedding and events industry. Rooted in the craftsmanship of floristry, the visual language combines hand-drawn details with a restrained contemporary aesthetic, creating a system that feels natural, refined and enduring.

Designed to sit alongside the work rather than compete with it, the identity allows the colour, texture and movement of each arrangement to become part of the brand expression across every touchpoint.

The Unwalled Garden, founded by Cotswold-based florist and event planner Demelza Leng, required a refined identity that reflected its growth and elevated aesthetic. The updated direction introduces a versatile logomark,
an organic colour palette and a blend
of bespoke illustrations with event photography to capture the brand’s natural, crafted character.

Hand-drawn details within the logo emphasise the business’s artisanal approach while maintaining a clean, modern presence. This visual language extends across all assets, creating
a cohesive system that enhances recognition, consistency and appeal
across every touchpoint.

The identity draws on the organic qualities of floristry without becoming decorative. Hand-drawn illustrations, considered typography and a muted palette create a flexible visual language that feels tactile, recognisable and quietly expressive across both digital and printed applications.

Photography plays a central role in the identity, capturing the texture, movement and seasonality of each arrangement. Used alongside a restrained graphic language, it allows the work itself
to become the primary expression of the brand.
