Project overview

In a category defined by bold graphics and technical performance cues, Common Padel takes a more restrained approach. Drawing on the visual language of traditional British sport, the identity reinterprets familiar references through a contemporary lens, creating a brand that feels considered, refined and approachable.

At its core is a simple design system built on clarity, proportion and balance. Clean typography, subtle graphic elements and generous use of space allow the product and its materials to take centre stage, giving the identity a quiet confidence across every touchpoint.

Colour plays a defining role throughout the system. A palette of muted, heritage-inspired tones is paired with softer contemporary accents, bringing distinction through restraint rather than contrast. The result is a visual language that feels timeless without becoming nostalgic.

Designed to grow with the brand, the identity provides a flexible foundation across product, packaging and digital applications, offering a quieter expression of performance within an increasingly crowded category.

Shaped by the idea of modern heritage, the visual language balances references to traditional sporting brands with a cleaner, more contemporary attitude. Generous spacing, refined typography and considered composition create a system that is confident, adaptable and designed to evolve with the brand.

Across product, packaging and digital touchpoints, every element is designed to support the experience rather than compete for attention. Consistent use of colour, typography and layout creates a recognisable expression that adapts naturally across the brand.

Defined as much by what has been removed as what remains, the identity rejects the visual noise often associated with the category. Instead, distinction comes through proportion, materiality and carefully considered detail, creating a quieter expression of performance.
